Generous financial support from Benefact Trust

31st July 2025

We are incredibly grateful to the Benefact Trust for awarding Wimbledon Foodbank a grant to support our essential work with the most vulnerable in our community.

This generous funding is helping us strengthen our Financial Inclusion project, launched in 2024, which supports foodbank users in identifying the root causes that bring them to our doors and finding long-term pathways out of financial hardship. With thousands in our community experiencing food poverty, this work is more critical than ever.

Thanks to support like this grant, we can plan ahead and continue our services beyond emergency food provision. Our dedicated Financial Inclusion Advisor is now working directly with clients, providing vital support with welfare claims, appeals, and advice. We’ve also formed strong partnerships with South West London Law Centre and Citizens Advice, ensuring those in need receive fast, expert guidance when they need it most.

This funding will also help support our Christmas Meal Project, which provides families with a £10 per person supermarket voucher—so they can enjoy a hot, dignified meal on Christmas Day. For many, this will be the only special meal they have all year.

We couldn’t continue this important work without the generosity of our supporters. The support from Benefact Trust has been a lifeline, allowing us to grow our impact and stand alongside those who need it most.

If you would like to join us in the fight against food poverty, please get in touch today to find out how you can support our work.

Thanks again to Benefact Trust and to everyone in our community who stands with us.
