Fresh Food

There are a number of places where you can obtain fresh food without needing a voucher referral.

Merton Community Fridge offers free of charge fresh food (after Best Before Date, but before Use By date) donated by supermarkets, local food growers and residents.

Location: Morden Baptist Church, Crown Lane SM4 5BL (use Grasmere Avenue entrance)

Opening times: Mondays 4.30 to 5.30 pm, Wednesdays 4.30 to 5.30 pm, Thursdays 1.30 to 2.30 pm.

 

Community Fridge run by the Commonside Community Development Trust

Location: New Horizon Centre, South Lodge Avenue, CR4 1LT

Time: Wednesdays 11 am to 1 pm (or until the food runs out)

 

Dundonald Church  Free Family Tea, Main and Dessert

Location: 577 Kingston Road, SW20 8SA

Time: Twice a month 4.30 to 6 pm, check dates by emailing [email protected]

 

The Graveney Canteen at Tooting United Reformed Church

Three course lunch. No booking needed, just turn up, all are welcome. A £1 donation is recommended, but no-one will be turned away.

Location: Tooting United Reformed Church, Rookstone Road, SW17 9NQ

Time: Fridays 1 to 2.30 pm

 

FoodCycle Mitcham.  Free 3 course meal, family friendly no booking needed.

Location: Togetherness Community Centre, Wakefield Hall, Taylor Road, CR4 3JR

Time: Thursdays 6.30 pm

 

Ackroydon Church Community Lunch. Free community lunch.

Location: Ackroydon Hall, 26 Montfort Place, SW19 6QL

Time: Third Sunday of every month, 11.30 am to 1 pm.
